  1. The help file describes creating a new empty route but the option is not available in 5.88. Did the dialog move somewhere?
  2. Is there a way to change the selected text color when I click on a waypoint? I'm using win 10 and I'm not sure if this is an EGPS setting or a windows setting. As you can see in the attachment there isn't much contrast. Thanks, Morgan
  3. When I select "nautical chart" the map shows a plain grey background with the text "No map at this location" or "No map at this scale. Zoom in." The map retrieval status shows activity but I never see the charts. Here are a few of the locations I checked. N37.70464° W123.01487° Farallon Islands N37.79483° W122.53709 San Francisco N40.62572° W073.17381° New York I'm using version 5.52 with Windows 10 Thanks for any assistance, Morgan
  4. How do I edit or delete the legend? Morgan
  5. I'm using a beta version of Win 10. Haven't had any problems. Morgan
  6. Hello Dan, I often switch back and forth between several scanned maps of an area. All of the drawings are done in the same style so it's hard to tell them apart once they are on screen. Could you add a scanned map file name display ? Maybe it could go on the bottom bar next to the scale lat/lon info. Can you make the address info on a waypoint more accessable? Maybe have a toggle so users have a choice between address ino or geographic info. Thanks, Morgan
  7. Add a user defined datum option. "Basecamp" has this. Add a tab for scanned maps.
  8. EDIT: It Works! Has anyone used EGPS with a Toshiba Encore? Morgan
  9. I received the following error message while installing EGPS 4.96 on a windows XP machine. unable to execute file: c:\programfiles\ExpertGps\ExpertGPS.exe CreateProcess failed; code 193, %1 is not a valid Win32 application I removed the program and rebooted with the same results. Morgan
  10. Make sure you have "proximity" showing as a column when you export. Rank Name on GPS Proximity Latitude Deg Latitude Min Latitude Sec Longitude Deg Longitude Min Longitude Sec 1 test 100 37 50 31.55468 -122 31 57.06365 Morgan
  11. Perhaps the other software doesn't support SHP? I think EGPS keeps the SHP files in the original format unless you convert them. I converted a few of the trails to tracks and I was able to view them in Basecamp. BLMextract.gpx
  12. Have you tried converting into tracks or routes first? Morgan
  13. I found a solution to the original problem of importing .SHP files that contain a URL. .Most of the data in a SHP file is stored in the DBF file. I opened the DBF file with Excel and saved it as a .CSV file. Once the data was in .CSV format I processed it with Extra POI Editor from http://turboccc.wikispaces.com/ The extra POI editor software allows you to populate the "link" field in a .GPX file with the URL from the CSV The SHP files I'm working with are the benchmark lists from NGS.NOAA,GOV. 15. Thanks! I'll use the math method when I need high precision. For most purposes letting EGPS plot the intersections is close enough.
