ExpertGPS Users,

I've used ExpertGPS for years, and just upgraded to the Pro version. In this new version, when I select "Export Image..." from the Map Menu, I get a reduced version of the old dialog box. The new dialog box lacks the move and recenter buttons that were in the bottom 2/3rds of the dialog box. It also lacks the Print Tab, but that doesn't matter because I want to Export. Is something wrong with my version? Are the software engineers removing functionality?

Thanks for any insights.

Cheers, Jim Boone

Yes, some of the more confusing aspects of ExpertGPS are being simplified.

Dan, the ability to move by an entire frame or recenter with a mouse click, as you can appaently still do in the Print dialog box, was not a confusing item, it was a useful feature.

Please put it back the way it was when the export and print dialog boxes were the same.

I have always appreciated that feature, as well.

Don,

Any thoughts on replacing the "recenter export image" button? It was really nice and sure beats the trail-and-error method we are left with now.

Note that the current Help Files still show the original Export Image dialog box.

Thanks for your continuing hard work on EGPS!

Dan,

I would still like to see the "recenter export image" button come back because it sure beats the trail-and-error method we are left with now. As it is, every time I need to move a map image a pixel or two, I need to cancel the export image window, move the map, and select the export map image command again. The "recenter export image" button eliminated these extra steps

Also, with the recent updates, the export image command seems to remember the resolution of the previous map, such that each time I select the command to export a new map image, I need to cancel the command once, then select it again in order to have it match the current map. Either it selects an area too small or too large for the current use, but canceling once and choosing the command again fixes it for the current use.

Thanks for your continuing hard work on EGPS!
