Lowrance To Garmin Transfer Trails from Lowrance to Garmin

Good Day All,

I willing to bet this is posted already here somewhere but on a time line now.

I'm trying to determine which GPS to purchase. Garmin eTrex Vista HCx or Lowrance iFinder Expedition C.

My delemma is that I want the Garmin but my buddys have the Lowrance withalot of trails already plotted that I want.

My questions is now obvious. Can I get these trails from their Lowrance and put them on my Garmin? I'm being told by sales people that you cannot do it due to different protocols.

A yes/no answer to the question is all I need right now and will get into the how to do it another time.
