Tracking does not work on Garmin Etrex Vista HCx

I cannot get my new Garmin Etrex Vista HCx to live track with Expert GPS. My "Legacy" Etrex Vista (grey screen / ser addapter) works just fine. After doing much searching I was referred to a post about Garmin's "Spinner" program. It does not recognize the Vista HCx, no way, no how.

Any ideas, anyone?
